You're Everything To Me: Baby, Can't You See

by FutureCSI1313

“Will you turn that crap down!?” Greg yelled from the kitchen, where he eagerly awaited a hot cup of his famous Ramen. “You’re killing me out here!”

“No way,” a voice from the other room argued back. “It’s my turn.”

“At least I play decent music,” mumbled Greg as he pulled his food out of the microwave. “And mine doesn’t twang like a hillbilly.”

“I heard that!”

“Good! Now turn off that country filth and stop yelling from ten feet away!” Greg slid into a seat at the kitchen table and wound the noodles around his fork and slurped them noisily.

“You’re lucky I love you,” snorted Greg, hearing his lover’s approaching footsteps behind him, bare feet sticking to the cool hardwood. “Because I wouldn’t put up with this Paisley guy for anybody else.”

“Why don’t you listen to the words then?” suggested Nick, resting his elbows on Greg’s shoulder. He felt Nick’s breath on his ears and he whispered along with the song:

“You think you're one of millions but you're one in a million to me.
When you wonder if you matter, baby look into my eyes
And tell me, can't you see you're everything to me.”
